आ त्वा॒ रथं॒ यथो॒तये॑ सु॒म्नाय॑ वर्तयामसि । तु॒वि॒कू॒र्मिमृ॑ती॒षह॒मिन्द्र॒ शवि॑ष्ठ॒ सत्प॑ते ॥ (१)

हे अतिशय शक्तिशाली, हिंसकों को हराने वाले, बहुत कर्म करने वाले एवं सज्जनपालक इंद्र! हम सुरक्षा और सुख पाने के लिए तुम्हें रथ के समान बार-बार बुलाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O you who are very powerful, defeaters of the violent, doers of great deeds and gentlemen, Indra! We call you again and again like a chariot to get safety and happiness. (1)
तुवि॑शुष्म॒ तुवि॑क्रतो॒ शची॑वो॒ विश्व॑या मते । आ प॑प्राथ महित्व॒ना ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अधिक शक्तिशाली, अनेक कर्म करने वाले, अधिक बुद्धिमान् एवं पूजनीय इंद्र! तुमने विश्वव्यापक महत्त्व द्वारा संसार को व्याप्त किया है. (२)
EN English Translation
O more powerful, many doers, more intelligent and revered Indra! You have pervaded the world by worldwide importance. (2)
यस्य॑ ते महि॒ना म॒हः परि॑ ज्मा॒यन्त॑मी॒यतुः॑ । हस्ता॒ वज्रं॑ हिर॒ण्यय॑म् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे महान् इंद्र! तुम्हारी महिमा के कारण तुम्हारे हाथ धरती में सब जगह व्याप्त हिरण्यमय वज्र को पकड़ते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O great Indra! Because of your glory, your hands hold the deery vajra everywhere in the earth. (3)
वि॒श्वान॑रस्य व॒स्पति॒मना॑नतस्य॒ शव॑सः । एवै॑श्च चर्षणी॒नामू॒ती हु॑वे॒ रथा॑नाम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! मैं समस्त शत्रुओं पर आक्रमण करने वाले एवं शत्रुओं द्वारा न झुकने वाली शक्ति के स्वामी इंद्र को तुम्हारी सेनाओं एवं रथों के गमनों के साथ बुलाता हूं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! I call Indra, the master of the power that attacks all enemies and does not bow down by enemies, with the movements of your armies and chariots. (4)
अ॒भिष्ट॑ये स॒दावृ॑धं॒ स्व॑र्मीळ्हेषु॒ यं नरः॑ । नाना॒ हव॑न्त ऊ॒तये॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! मैं तुम्हारी सहायता के लिए सदा बढ़ने वाले इंद्र को आने के लिए निवेदन करता हूं. उन्हें मनुष्य युद्धों में अपनी श्रद्धा के निमित्त भांति-भांति से बुलाते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O hosts! I request the ever-growing Indra to come to your aid. They are called by men in various ways for their faith in wars. (5)
प॒रोमा॑त्र॒मृची॑षम॒मिन्द्र॑मु॒ग्रं सु॒राध॑सम् । ईशा॑नं चि॒द्वसू॑नाम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं असीमित शरीर वाले, स्तुति के अनुरूप रूपधारी, उग्र, शोभनधन से युक्त एवं संपत्तियों के स्वामी इंद्र को बुलाता हूं. (६)
EN English Translation
I call Indra, with an unlimited body, shaped in line with praise, fierce, adorned with adornment and the lord of the properties. (6)
तंत॒मिद्राध॑से म॒ह इन्द्रं॑ चोदामि पी॒तये॑ । यः पू॒र्व्यामनु॑ष्टुति॒मीशे॑ कृष्टी॒नां नृ॒तुः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं नेता, यज्ञ के प्रमुख स्थान में बैठने वाले एवं मनुष्यों की क्रमबद्ध स्तुति सुनने वाले इंद्र को महान् धन पाने की आशा से सोमरस पीने के लिए बुलाता हूं. (७)
EN English Translation
I call indra, the leader, who sits in the main place of the yagna and listens to the orderly praises of human beings, to drink somras in the hope of getting great wealth. (7)
न यस्य॑ ते शवसान स॒ख्यमा॒नंश॒ मर्त्यः॑ । नकिः॒ शवां॑सि ते नशत् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शक्तिशाली इंद्र! मनुष्य तुम्हारी मित्रता प्राप्त नहीं कर सकता. तुम्हारी शक्तियों को भी कोई नहीं पा सकता. (८)
EN English Translation
O mighty Indra! Man cannot find your friendship. No one can find your powers either. (8)
त्वोता॑स॒स्त्वा यु॒जाप्सु सूर्ये॑ म॒हद्धन॑म् । जये॑म पृ॒त्सु व॑ज्रिवः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वज्रधारी इंद्र! हम तुम्हारे द्वारा रक्षित होकर तुम्हारी सहायता से युद्धों में महान् धन जीतेंगे. जिससे जल में स्नान एवं सूर्यदर्शन कर सकें. (९)
EN English Translation
O thunderbolt Indra! We will be protected by you and with your help we will win great wealth in wars. So that you can bathe in the water and perform sun sighting. (9)
तं त्वा॑ य॒ज्ञेभि॑रीमहे॒ तं गी॒र्भिर्गि॑र्वणस्तम । इन्द्र॒ यथा॑ चि॒दावि॑थ॒ वाजे॑षु पुरु॒माय्य॑म् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तुतियों द्वारा अत्यधिक प्रसिद्ध इंद्र! मुझ अधिक बुद्धि वाले को तुम जिस प्रकार की स्तुतियों और यज्ञों के कारण बचा सको, मैं उसी प्रकार की स्तुतियों और यज्ञों द्वारा तुमसे याचना करता हूं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra highly famous by the praises! I beseech you through the same kind of praises and sacrifices that you can save to me with more wisdom. (10)
यस्य॑ ते स्वा॒दु स॒ख्यं स्वा॒द्वी प्रणी॑तिरद्रिवः । य॒ज्ञो वि॑तन्त॒साय्यः॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वज्रधारी इंद्र! तुम्हारी मित्रता एवं धनादि का निर्माण अत्यंत हर्षकारक है. तुम्हारा यज्ञ विशेषरूप से विस्तृत करने योग्य है. (११)
EN English Translation
O thunderbolt Indra! The creation of your friendship and wealth is very joyful. Your yajna is especially elaborateable. (11)
उ॒रु ण॑स्त॒न्वे॒३॒॑ तन॑ उ॒रु क्षया॑य नस्कृधि । उ॒रु णो॑ यन्धि जी॒वसे॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम हमारे पुत्र, पौत्र एवं निवासस्थान के निमित्त प्रचुर धन दो. तुम हमारे जीवन के लिए हमारी मनचाही वस्तुएं दो. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Give us plenty of money for our son, grandson and place of residence. You give us the things we want for our lives. (12)
उ॒रुं नृभ्य॑ उ॒रुं गव॑ उ॒रुं रथा॑य॒ पन्था॑म् । दे॒ववी॑तिं मनामहे ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हम तुमसे प्रार्थना करते हैं कि हमारे मनुष्यों, गायों एवं रथों के मार्गों का कल्याण करो. हम तुमसे यज्ञ की प्रार्थना करते हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! We pray to you to do good to the ways of our human beings, cows and chariots. We pray to you for the yajna. (13)
उप॑ मा॒ षड्द्वाद्वा॒ नरः॒ सोम॑स्य॒ हर्ष्या॑ । तिष्ठ॑न्ति स्वादुरा॒तयः॑ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस पीने से उत्पन्न नशे के कारण छः राजा स्वादिष्ट भोग साथ लेकर दो-दो के समूह में हमारे पास आते हैं. (१४)
EN English Translation
Due to the intoxication caused by drinking somers, six kings come to us in groups of two each with delicious bhog. (14)
ऋ॒ज्रावि॑न्द्रो॒त आ द॑दे॒ हरी॒ ऋक्ष॑स्य सू॒नवि॑ । आ॒श्व॒मे॒धस्य॒ रोहि॑ता ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
राजपुत्र इंद्रोत से मैंने सरल गति वाले दो घोड़े प्राप्त किए हैं एवं ऋक्ष के पुत्र से हरे रंग के तथा अश्वमेध के पुत्रों से लाल रंग के घोड़े पाए हैं. (१५)
EN English Translation
From Prince Indrat I have obtained two horses of simple speed and from the son of Riksh, I have got green horses and from the sons of Ashwamedh, I have got red horses. (15)
सु॒रथा॑ँ आतिथि॒ग्वे स्व॑भी॒शूँरा॒र्क्षे । आ॒श्व॒मे॒धे सु॒पेश॑सः ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैंने अतिथिग्व के पुत्र इंद्रोत से सुंदर रथ वाले एवं ऋक्ष के पुत्र से सुंदर लगाम वाले घोड़ों को पाया है. मैंने अश्वमेध से सुंदर घोड़े पाए हैं. (१६)
EN English Translation
I have found horses with beautiful chariots from Indrat, the son of Astitvagava, and horses with beautiful reins from the son of Riksh. I have got beautiful horses from Ashwamedh. (16)
षळश्वा॑ँ आतिथि॒ग्व इ॑न्द्रो॒ते व॒धूम॑तः । सचा॑ पू॒तक्र॑तौ सनम् ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैंने ऋक्ष एवं अश्वमेध के पुत्रों द्वारा दिए गए घोड़ों के साथ ही शुद्ध यज्ञकर्म वाले एवं अतिथिग्व के पुत्र इंद्रोत द्वारा घोड़ियों सहित दिए गए घोड़ों को ग्रहण किया है. (१७)
EN English Translation
I have received the horses given by the sons of Raksh and Ashwamedha, as well as the horses given by Indrat, the son of the pure yajnakarma and the guestman. (17)
ऐषु॑ चेत॒द्वृष॑ण्वत्य॒न्तरृ॒ज्रेष्वरु॑षी । स्व॒भी॒शुः कशा॑वती ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इन सरल गति वाले घोड़ों में गर्भाधान योग्य घोड़ों से युक्त, शोभायमान एवं सुंदर लगाम वाली घोड़ियां भी जान पड़ती हैं. (१८)
EN English Translation
These simple-moving horses also seem to have horses with inseminable horses, beautiful and beautiful reins. (18)
न यु॒ष्मे वा॑जबन्धवो निनि॒त्सुश्च॒न मर्त्यः॑ । अ॒व॒द्यमधि॑ दीधरत् ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अन्न देने वाले छः राजाओ! निंदा करने वाला व्यक्ति भी तुम्हारे सामने निंदा का वचन नहीं बोलता. (१९)
EN English Translation
O six kings who give food! Even the person who condemns does not speak a word of condemnation before you. (19)
