यः पावमानीरध्येत्यृषिभिः सम्भृतँ रसम् । सर्वँ स पूतमश्नाति स्वदितं मातरिश्वना ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो यजमान ऋषियों द्वारा संकलित जीवन की उपयोगी बातों में ध्यान लगाता है, पवित्रकारी सूक्तों (मंत्रों, स्तुतियों) का पाठ करता है वह यजमान पवित्र और पोषक अन्नादि रसों का आनंद लेता है. (१)
EN English Translation
The host who meditates on the useful things of life compiled by the sages, recites the holy suktas (mantras, praises), the host enjoys the holy and nutritious anadi rasas. (1)
पावमानीर्यो अध्येत्यृषिभिः सम्भृतँ रसम् । तस्मै सरस्वती दुहे क्षीरँ सर्पिर्मधूदकम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋषियों ने वेद मंत्रों की रचना की है. जो यजमान उन का अध्ययनमनन करता है, उस का ज्ञान बढ़ाने के लिए सरस्वती सहायता करती हैं. उस यजमान के लिए शहद, दूध, घी आदि पोषक स्वयं प्रदान करती हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Sages have composed Veda mantras. Saraswati helps to increase the knowledge of the host who studies them. For that host, honey, milk, ghee etc. provide nutrients themselves. (2)
पावमानीः स्वस्त्ययनीः सुदुघा हि घृतश्चुतः । ऋषिभिः सम्भृतो रसो ब्राह्मणेष्वमृतँ हितम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋषियों ने जो मंत्र रचे हैं, वे मंत्र ब्राह्मणों के लिए अमृत सरीखे कल्याणकारी, हितकारी वची से चुए हुए हैं. वे स्नेह की धाराओं से सने हुए और श्रेष्ठ फलदायी हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
The mantras composed by the sages are soaked in welfare, beneficial vachi like nectar for Brahmins. They are adorned with streams of affection and are superiorly fruitful. (3)
पावमानीर्दधन्तु न इमं लोकमथो अमुम् । कामान्त्समर्धयन्तु नो देवीर्देवैः समाहृताः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवी और देवताओं ने मंत्र संकलित किए हैं. वे मंत्र न केवल इस लोक में बल्कि परलोक में भी हमारे लिए कल्याणकारक हों. वे हमारी सारी इच्छाएं पूरी करने वाले हों. (४)
EN English Translation
Gods and goddesses have compiled mantras. May those mantras be beneficial for us not only in this world but also in the hereafter. They are going to fulfill all our wishes. (4)
येन देवाः पवित्रेणात्मानं पुनते सदा । तेन सहस्रधारेण पावमानीः पुनन्तु नः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवतागण जिन से सदा अपने को निर्मल (पवित्र) बनाते हैं, वैसी ही हजारों धाराओं से वेदों के मंत्र हमें पवित्र बनाने की कृपा करें. (५)
EN English Translation
May the deities always make themselves pure, may the mantras of the Vedas from thousands of streams make us pure. (5)
पावमानीः स्वस्त्ययनीस्ताभिर्गच्छति नान्दनम् । पुण्याँश्च भक्षान्भक्षयत्यमृतत्वं च गच्छति ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो यजमान पवित्रतादायी मंत्रों से प्रेरणा लेता है, जो यजमान हितकारी मंत्रों में रुझान रखता है, वह परमानंद का भागी होता है. वह पुण्य अर्जित कराने वाले अन्न को खाता है और अमरता का भागीदार होता है. (६)
EN English Translation
The host who takes inspiration from holy mantras, the host who is interested in beneficial mantras, is a part of ecstasy. He eats the food that earns virtue and is a partner of immortality. (6)
