प्रप्र॑ वस्त्रि॒ष्टुभ॒मिषं॑ म॒न्दद्वी॑रा॒येन्द॑वे । धि॒या वो॑ मे॒धसा॑तये॒ पुरं॒ध्या वि॑वासति ॥ (१)

हे अध्वर्युगण! तुम वीरों को हर्षित करने वाले इंद्र के लिए तीन स्तंभों से युक्त अन्न का संग्रह करो. इंद्र परम बुद्धियुक्त यज्ञकर्म द्वारा यज्ञ आरंभ करने के लिए तुम्हारा सत्कार करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O teacher! You collect food containing three pillars for Indra, who makes the heroes rejoice. Indra welcomes you to begin the yajna by the most intelligent yajnakarma. (1)
न॒दं व॒ ओद॑तीनां न॒दं योयु॑वतीनाम् । पतिं॑ वो॒ अघ्न्या॑नां धेनू॒नामि॑षुध्यसि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! उषाओं को उत्पन्न करने वाले, नदियों को शब्दायमान करने वाले एवं अवध्य गायों के पालक इंद्र को बुलाओ. तुम गायों के दूध की इच्छा करते हो. (२)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Call Indra, the creator of the ushas, the one who speaks the rivers and the guardian of the avadhya cows. You desire the milk of cows. (2)
ता अ॑स्य॒ सूद॑दोहसः॒ सोमं॑ श्रीणन्ति॒ पृश्न॑यः । जन्म॑न्दे॒वानां॒ विश॑स्त्रि॒ष्वा रो॑च॒ने दि॒वः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वे चितकबरे रंग की गाएं तीनों सवनों में इंद्र से संबंधित सोमरस को अपने दूध से मिश्रित करती हैं जो देवों के जन्मस्थान एवं आदित्य के मनपसंद द्युलोक में प्रवेश कर सकती हैं एवं जिनके दूध से कुआं भर सकता है. (३)
EN English Translation
They sing the chitkabare colours in all the three sawans mix the Somras related to Indra with their milk, which can enter the birthplace of the devas and the favorite dulok of Aditya and whose milk can fill the well. (3)
अ॒भि प्र गोप॑तिं गि॒रेन्द्र॑मर्च॒ यथा॑ वि॒दे । सू॒नुं स॒त्यस्य॒ सत्प॑तिम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
गायों के पालक, यज्ञ के पुत्र एवं साधुओं का पालन करने वाले इंद्र की स्तुति उसी प्रकार करो, जिस प्रकार वे यज्ञ के प्रति जाने का रास्ता जान सकें. (४)
EN English Translation
Praise Indra, the guardian of the cows, the son of the yajna and the one who follows the sadhus, in the same way that they know the way to go towards the yajna. (4)
आ हर॑यः ससृज्रि॒रेऽरु॑षी॒रधि॑ ब॒र्हिषि॑ । यत्रा॒भि सं॒नवा॑महे ॥ (५)

दीप्तिशाली एवं हरितवर्ण के अश्च इंद्र को कुश पर स्थापित करें. हम वहां स्थित इंद्र की स्तुति करेंगे. (५)
EN English Translation
Install Indra, the assh indra of the bright and green golden, on the kusha. We will praise Indra located there. (5)
इन्द्रा॑य॒ गाव॑ आ॒शिरं॑ दुदु॒ह्रे व॒ज्रिणे॒ मधु॑ । यत्सी॑मुपह्व॒रे वि॒दत् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस समय वज्रधारी इंद्र समीप में रखे हुए सोमरस को प्राप्त करते हैं, उस समय गाएं इंद्र के लिए मधुर दूध देती हैं जो सोमरस में मिलाया जा सके. (६)
EN English Translation
At the time when Vajradhari Indra receives the Somras kept nearby, the cows give sweet milk to Indra which can be added to the Somras. (6)
उद्यद्ब्र॒ध्नस्य॑ वि॒ष्टपं॑ गृ॒हमिन्द्र॑श्च॒ गन्व॑हि । मध्वः॑ पी॒त्वा स॑चेवहि॒ त्रिः स॒प्त सख्युः॑ प॒दे ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं एवं इंद्र जिस समय सूर्य के निवासस्थान में जाते हैं, उस समय मधुर सोमरस पीकर सबके सखा आदित्य के इक्कीस स्थानों में हम एकत्रित हों. (७)
EN English Translation
When Indra and I go to the abode of the Sun, we should drink sweet somersas and gather in twenty-one places of Aditya, everyone's friend. (7)
अर्च॑त॒ प्रार्च॑त॒ प्रिय॑मेधासो॒ अर्च॑त । अर्च॑न्तु पुत्र॒का उ॒त पुरं॒ न धृ॒ष्ण्व॑र्चत ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे प्रियमेध ऋषि के वंश वाले लोगो! इंद्र की विशेष रूप से पूजा करो. तुम्हारे पुत्र और तुम इंद्र की इस प्रकार पूजा करो, जिस प्रकार शत्रु का नगर नष्ट करने वाले वीर की पूजा की जाती है. (८)
EN English Translation
O people of the descendants of the sage Dearmedha! Worship Indra in particular. Worship your son and You Indra in the same way that the hero who destroys the enemy's city is worshipped. (8)
अव॑ स्वराति॒ गर्ग॑रो गो॒धा परि॑ सनिष्वणत् । पिङ्गा॒ परि॑ चनिष्कद॒दिन्द्रा॑य॒ ब्रह्मोद्य॑तम् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
घर्घर ध्वनि करता हुआ युद्ध का बाजा बज रहा है. हाथों पर बंधा हुआ गोह का चमड़ा भी शब्द कर रहा है. पीले रंग की धनुषडोरी शब्द कर रही है. इंद्र को लक्ष्य करके इस समय स्तुति बोलो. (९)
EN English Translation
The sound of the house is sounding the war. The skin of the cowher tied on the hands is also the word. Yellow is doing the word bowdry. Speak praise at this time by targeting Indra. (9)
आ यत्पत॑न्त्ये॒न्यः॑ सु॒दुघा॒ अन॑पस्फुरः । अ॒प॒स्फुरं॑ गृभायत॒ सोम॒मिन्द्रा॑य॒ पात॑वे ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस समय सफेद रंग की, शोभन जल देने वाली एवं बहुत अधिक बढ़ी हुई नदियां बहती हैं, उस समय तुम इंद्र के पीने के लिए सोमरस को ले जाओ. (१०)
EN English Translation
At the time when white-colored, soothing water-giving and very large-scale rivers flow, you take the Somras for Indra's drink. (10)
अपा॒दिन्द्रो॒ अपा॑द॒ग्निर्विश्वे॑ दे॒वा अ॑मत्सत । वरु॑ण॒ इदि॒ह क्ष॑य॒त्तमापो॑ अ॒भ्य॑नूषत व॒त्सं सं॒शिश्व॑रीरिव ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने सोमरस पिया एवं अग्नि ने सोमरस पिया. देवगण सोमरस पीकर तृप्त हुए. वरण सोमरस पीने के लिए यज्ञशाला में निवास करें. गाएं जिस प्रकार बछड़े से मिलने दौड़ती हैं, उसी प्रकार उक्थ मंत्र वरुण की स्तुति करते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
Indra drank somras and agni drank somras. Devgan was satisfied by drinking somras. Stay in the yajnashala to drink the varan somras. Just as the cows run to meet the calf, the ukth mantras praise Varuna. (11)
सु॒दे॒वो अ॑सि वरुण॒ यस्य॑ ते स॒प्त सिन्ध॑वः । अ॒नु॒क्षर॑न्ति का॒कुदं॑ सू॒र्म्यं॑ सुषि॒रामि॑व ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वरुण! तुम शोभन देव हो. तुम्हारे समुद्ररूपी तालु में गंगा आदि सात नदियां इस प्रकार गिरती हैं जिस प्रकार सूर्य के सामने किरणें गिरती हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
Hey Varun! You are Shobhan Dev. In your sea-like palate, seven rivers like the Ganga, etc., fall in the same way as the rays fall in front of the sun. (12)
यो व्यती॒ँरफा॑णय॒त्सुयु॑क्ता॒ँ उप॑ दा॒शुषे॑ । त॒क्वो ने॒ता तदिद्वपु॑रुप॒मा यो अमु॑च्यत ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो इंद्र विविध गमन वाले के रथ में भली प्रकार जुते हुए घोड़ों को हव्यदाता यजमान के पास जाने के लिए चलाते हैं, वे उपमा देने योग्य हैं, यज्ञ में आते हैं, यज्ञ के फल के नेता हैं एवं उदक उत्पन्न करते हैं. वे असुर आदि से मुक्त रहते हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
Indra, who runs the well-wedded horses in the chariot of the various gamans to go to the havandata host, are able to give upma, come to the yajna, are the leaders of the fruits of the yajna and produce udaka. They remain free from asuras etc. (13)
अतीदु॑ श॒क्र ओ॑हत॒ इन्द्रो॒ विश्वा॒ अति॒ द्विषः॑ । भि॒नत्क॒नीन॑ ओद॒नं प॒च्यमा॑नं प॒रो गि॒रा ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शक्र (इंद्र) युद्ध में सभी शत्रुओं का अतिक्रमण करके चलते हैं. वे सभी द्वेषियों को छोड़ देते हैं. सुंदर एवं मेघों के ऊपर वर्तमान इंद्र गर्जन एवं वज्र के शब्द से ताड़ित करके मेघों का भेदन करते हैं. (१४)
EN English Translation
Shakra (Indra) transgresses all the enemies in the war. They leave out all malice. On the beautiful and clouds, the present Indra roars and penetrates the clouds by chastising with the word of thunderbolt. (14)
अ॒र्भ॒को न कु॑मार॒कोऽधि॑ तिष्ठ॒न्नवं॒ रथ॑म् । स प॑क्षन्महि॒षं मृ॒गं पि॒त्रे मा॒त्रे वि॑भु॒क्रतु॑म् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बालक के समान छोटे शरीर वाले कुमार इंद्र प्रशंसनीय रथ पर बैठते हैं. इंद्र महान् एवं माता-पिता के सामने इधरधर दौड़ने वाले मृगशावक के समान अनेक कर्मो वाले मेघ को वर्षा के लिए प्रेरित करते हैं. (१५)
EN English Translation
Kumar Indra, with a small body like a child, sits on the admirable chariot. Indra inspires the cloud of many acts to rain like the mrigshawak who runs around in front of the great and parents. (15)
आ तू सु॑शिप्र दम्पते॒ रथं॑ तिष्ठा हिर॒ण्यय॑म् । अध॑ द्यु॒क्षं स॑चेवहि स॒हस्र॑पादमरु॒षं स्व॑स्ति॒गाम॑ने॒हस॑म् ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभन-नासिका वाले एवं गृहस्वामी इंद्र! तुम रथरूपी घर में बैठो. वह रथ सोने का बना हुआ है, दीप्त, अनेक पहियों वाला, कुशलतापूर्वक चलने वाला एवं पापरहित है. हम दोनों उस रथ में मिलें. (१६)
EN English Translation
O Shobhan-Nassawale and the homeowner Indra! You sit in the chariot house. The chariot is made of gold, bright, multi-wheeled, efficient and sinless. We both meet in that chariot. (16)
तं घे॑मि॒त्था न॑म॒स्विन॒ उप॑ स्व॒राज॑मासते । अर्थं॑ चिदस्य॒ सुधि॑तं॒ यदेत॑व आव॒र्तय॑न्ति दा॒वने॑ ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हव्य-अन्न धारण करने वाले लोग इस प्रकार विराजमान इंद्र की उपासना करते हैं. जब इंद्र को चलकर स्वयं आने एवं दान के योग्य स्तुतियां प्रेरित करती हैं, तब इंद्र का भली प्रकार स्थापित धन प्राप्त होता है. (१७)
EN English Translation
The people who wear the havan-annads worship indra sitting in this way. When Indra is inspired by walking and praising himself to come and give, indra's well-established wealth is obtained. (17)
अनु॑ प्र॒त्नस्यौक॑सः प्रि॒यमे॑धास एषाम् । पूर्वा॒मनु॒ प्रय॑तिं वृ॒क्तब॑र्हिषो हि॒तप्र॑यस आशत ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्रियमेध ऋषि के परिवार वाले लोगों ने देवों के पुराने स्थान अर्थात् स्वर्ग को प्राप्त किया है, मुख्य दान के लक्ष्य से कुशों का विस्तार किया है तथा सोमरस आदि प्राप्त किया है. (१८)
EN English Translation
The family members of Priyamedha Rishi have attained the old place of the gods i.e. heaven, expanded the Kushas with the aim of the main donation and attained somras etc. (18)
