पवमाना असृक्षत सोमाः शुक्रास इन्दवः । अभि विश्वानि काव्या ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप का रस पवित्र व चमकीला है. उसे सभी काव्यों (वेद मंत्रों) के साथ संस्कारित किया जाता है. (१)
EN English Translation
O Mon! Your juice is pure and bright. He is cultured with all the poems (Veda mantras). (1)
पवमाना दिवस्पर्यन्तरिक्षादसृक्षत । पृथिव्या अधि सानवि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप का रस पवित्र और वह स्वर्गलोक से धरती के उच्च शिखर को स्पर्श करता हुआ बहता है. (२)
EN English Translation
O Mon! Your juice is pure and it flows from heaven touching the high peak of the earth. (2)
पवमानास आशवः शुभ्रा असृग्रमिन्दवः । घ्नन्तो विश्वा अप द्विषः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप का रस पवित्र और चमकीला है. वह (स्वास्थ्य संबंधी) सभी गड़बड़ियों का नाश करता है. आप जल्दी द्रोणकलश में पधारते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Mon! Your juice is pure and bright. He destroys all (health) disturbances. You get to Dronalash quickly. (3)
तोशा वृत्रहणा हुवे सजित्वानापराजिता । इन्द्राग्नी वाजसातमा ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हे अग्नि! आप वृत्रनाश से संतोष करते हैं. आप को कोई पराजित नहीं कर सकता. आप उपासकों को प्रचुर धन देते हैं. हम आप की उपासना करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! O agni! You are satisfied with vritranash. No one can defeat you. You give abundant wealth to worshippers. We worship you. (4)
प्र वामर्चन्त्युक्थिनो नीथाविदो जरितारः । इन्द्राग्नी इष आ वृणे ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हे अग्नि! हम मनोकामना पूर्ति के लिए आप का वरण करते हैं. हम वैदिक मंत्रों से व साम गागा कर आप की उपासना करते हैं. (५)

O Indra! O agni! We choose you to fulfill your wishes. We worship you with Vedic mantras and singing. (5)
इन्द्राग्नी नवतिं पुरो दासपत्नीरधूनुतम् । साकमेकेन कर्मणा ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हे अग्नि! दासों और उन की पत्नियों के नगर आप ने एक साथ एक कार्य (युद्ध) से ही कंपकंपा कर नष्ट कर दिए. हम आप दोनों की स्तुति करते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! O agni! The cities of slaves and their wives were destroyed by shivering from one act (war) together. We praise both of you. (6)
उप त्वा रण्वसन्दृशं प्रयस्वन्तः सहस्कृत । अग्ने ससृज्महे गिरः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप (अरणियों में) रगड़ से पैदा होते हैं. आप दर्शनीय हैं. हम वाणी से आप की स्तुति करते हैं. हम आप की समीपता चाहते हैं. हम आप की उपासना करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are born by rubbing (in the arrays). You are visible. We praise you with speech. We want your proximity. We worship you. (7)
उप च्छायामिव घृणेरगन्म शर्म ते वयम् । अग्ने हिरण्यसन्दृशः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप सोने की तरह चमकीले हैं. हम आप से उसी प्रकार सुख पाते हैं, जिस प्रकार लोग गरमी में छाया से पाते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are as bright as gold. We get happiness from you in the same way as people get from the shade in summer. (8)
य उग्र इव शर्यहा तिग्मशृङ्गो न वँसगः । अग्ने पुरो रुरोजिथ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप उग्र, वीर व धनुर्धर हैं. आप की ज्वालाएं (बैलों के) तीखे सींग की भांति हैं. आप ने दुश्मनों के ठिकानों को नष्ट किया है. (९)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are fierce, brave and archer. Your flames are like sharp horns (of bulls). You have destroyed enemy bases. (9)
ऋतावानं वैश्वानरमृतस्य ज्योतिषस्पतिम् । अजस्रं घर्ममीमहे ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप सत्यवान हैं. सभी मनुष्यों के लिए अमृत जैसे कल्याणकारी हैं. आप ज्योति के स्वामी व अजस्र हैं. हम आप से यज्ञ की रक्षा करने का अनुरोध करते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are truthful. There are welfare like nectar for all human beings. You are the swami of light and ajasra. We request you to protect the yagna. (10)
य इदं प्रतिपप्रथे यज्ञस्य स्वरुत्तिरन् । ऋतूनुत्सृजते वशी ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप सत्य के मार्ग में आने वाली रुकावटों को दूर हटाते हैं. संसार को वशीभूत रखते हैं. आप की कृपा से संसार विस्तृत होता है. आप ऋतुओं का सृजन करते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
O agni! You remove obstacles in the path of truth. They keep the world subjugated. By your grace, the world expands. You create seasons. (11)
अग्निः प्रियेषु धामसु कामो भूतस्य भव्यस्य । सभ्राडेको वि राजति ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप एकमात्र सम्राट् हैं. आप अपने प्रिय धामों में सुशोभित होते हैं. आप अतीत और भविष्य में चाहने वालों की इच्छा पूरी करते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are the only emperor. You are adorned in your favorite dhams. You fulfill the wishes of those who want in the past and future. (12)
