प्र मि॒त्रयो॒र्वरु॑णयोः॒ स्तोमो॑ न एतु शू॒ष्यः॑ । नम॑स्वान्तुविजा॒तयोः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बार-बार प्रादुर्भूत होने वाले मित्र एवं वरुण का सुखदाता तथा अन्नयुक्त स्तोत्र उनके समीप जावे. (१)
EN English Translation
Go to him a happy and grained hymn of a friend and Varuna who is repeatedly born. (1)
या धा॒रय॑न्त दे॒वाः सु॒दक्षा॒ दक्ष॑पितरा । अ॒सु॒र्या॑य॒ प्रम॑हसा ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शोभन-बलयुक्त, शक्ति की रक्षा करने वाले एवं प्रकृष्ट तेज वाले मित्र व वरुण को देवों ने धारण किया है. (२)
EN English Translation
The god has ensconced, the protector of power and the friend of the strongest and the one who has great speed and Varuna. (2)
ता नः॑ स्ति॒पा त॑नू॒पा वरु॑ण जरितॄ॒णाम् । मित्र॑ सा॒धय॑तं॒ धियः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वे दोनों हमारे घर एवं शरीर के रक्षक हैं. हे मित्र व वरुण! तुम स्तोताओं के स्तुतिरूप कर्म को पूरा करो. (३)
EN English Translation
They are both the protectors of our home and body. Oh my friend and Varun! You complete the deeds as a token of praise to the psalms. (3)
यद॒द्य सूर॒ उदि॒तेऽना॑गा मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा । सु॒वाति॑ सवि॒ता भगः॑ ॥ (४)

पापहंता मित्र, अर्यमा, सविता एवं भग आज सूर्य निकलने पर हमारा इष्ट धन दें. (४)
EN English Translation
Papahanta Friends, Aryama, Savita and Bhaga give us the favored wealth when the sun comes out today. (4)
सु॒प्रा॒वीर॑स्तु॒ स क्षयः॒ प्र नु याम॑न्सुदानवः । ये नो॒ अंहो॑ऽति॒पिप्र॑ति ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभनदान वाले देवो! तुम्हारे आने पर हमारा निवास-स्थान सुरक्षित हो. तुम हमारे पाप को नष्ट करो. (५)
EN English Translation
O god of adornment! May our place of residence be safe when you come. You destroy our sin. (5)
उ॒त स्व॒राजो॒ अदि॑ति॒रद॑ब्धस्य व्र॒तस्य॒ ये । म॒हो राजा॑न ईशते ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मित्रादि देव एवं अदिति हिंसा-रहित यज्ञ के स्वामी हैं. वे धन के भी स्वामी हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
Mitradi Dev and Aditi are the masters of violence-free yagnas. They are also the masters of wealth. (6)
प्रति॑ वां॒ सूर॒ उदि॑ते मि॒त्रं गृ॑णीषे॒ वरु॑णम् । अ॒र्य॒मणं॑ रि॒शाद॑सम् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं सूर्योदय वेर बाद मित्र, वरुण एवं शत्रुनाशक अर्यमा की स्तुति करता हूं. (७)
EN English Translation
I praise friend, Varuna and the enemy-destroyer Aryama after sunrise. (7)
रा॒या हि॑रण्य॒या म॒तिरि॒यम॑वृ॒काय॒ शव॑से । इ॒यं विप्रा॑ मे॒धसा॑तये ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह स्तुति हमें रमणीय धन के सथ अपराजित शक्ति देने वाली हो. हे ब्राह्मणो! यह स्तुति यज्ञ-लाभ के लिए हो. (८)
EN English Translation
May this praise give us undefeated power with delightful wealth. O Brahmins! This praise be for yajna-gain. (8)
ते स्या॑म देव वरुण॒ ते मि॑त्र सू॒रिभिः॑ स॒ह । इषं॒ स्व॑श्च धीमहि ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वरुण एवं मित्र! हम ऋत्विजों को साथ लेकर तुम्हारी स्तुति करने वाले होंगे. हे देव! हम अन्न एवं जल धारण करें. (९)
EN English Translation
Hey Varun and my friend! We will be going to praise you by taking the ritwijs along with us. Oh, God! Let's hold food and water. (9)
ब॒हवः॒ सूर॑चक्षसोऽग्निजि॒ह्वा ऋ॑ता॒वृधः॑ । त्रीणि॒ ये ये॒मुर्वि॒दथा॑नि धी॒तिभि॒र्विश्वा॑नि॒ परि॑भूतिभिः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
महान्, सूर्य के समान प्रकाशयुक्त, अग्निरूपी जिहवा वाले एवं यज्ञ को बढ़ाने वाले मित्रादि देव शत्रुओं को हराने वाले कमो द्वारा हमें विस्तृत निवास-स्थान देते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
The great, the sun-like light, the agni-like-tongued and sacrificial-enhancing friend god gives us wide abodes through the kahos who defeat the enemies. (10)
वि ये द॒धुः श॒रदं॒ मास॒मादह॑र्य॒ज्ञम॒क्तुं चादृच॑म् । अ॒ना॒प्यं वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा क्ष॒त्रं राजा॑न आशत ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मित्र, वरुण एवं अर्यमा ने सुशोभित होकर दूसरों द्वारा अप्राप्त बल पाया है तथा संवत्सर, मास, दिवस, रात्रि एवं ऋचाओं की रचना की है. (११)
EN English Translation
Friends, Varuna and Aryama have been adorned and have found the strength of others unstained and have composed samvatsars, months, days, nights and rituals. (11)
तद्वो॑ अ॒द्य म॑नामहे सू॒क्तैः सूर॒ उदि॑ते । यदोह॑ते॒ वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा यू॒यमृ॒तस्य॑ रथ्यः ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे उदक के नेता वरुण, मित्र और अर्यमा! तुम जिस धन को धारण करते हो, हम आज सूर्य निकलने पर वही धन स्तुतियों द्वारा मांगते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Udak's leader Varuna, friend and Aryama! The wealth you hold, we ask for the same wealth by the praises when the sun comes out today. (12)
ऋ॒तावा॑न ऋ॒तजा॑ता ऋता॒वृधो॑ घो॒रासो॑ अनृत॒द्विषः॑ । तेषां॑ वः सु॒म्ने सु॑च्छ॒र्दिष्ट॑मे नरः॒ स्याम॒ ये च॑ सू॒रयः॑ ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यज्ञयुक्त, यज्ञ के लिए उत्पन्न, यज्ञ बढ़ाने वाले, भयानक एवं यज्ञहीनों से द्वेष करने वाले नेताओ! हम एवं अन्य ऋत्विज् ही तुम्हारे सुखदायक धन के अधिकारी हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
O yajna-yukta, leaders who are born for yajna, who increase the yagna, who are fierce and hate the sacrificial! We and other rituals are entitled to your soothing wealth. (13)
उदु॒ त्यद्द॑र्श॒तं वपु॑र्दि॒व ए॑ति प्रतिह्व॒रे । यदी॑मा॒शुर्वह॑ति दे॒व एत॑शो॒ विश्व॑स्मै॒ चक्ष॑से॒ अर॑म् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वह दर्शनीय मंडल अंतरिक्ष के समीप उदय होता है. गतिशील एवं हरे रंग का घोड़ा उस मंडल को इस हेतु धारण करता है, जिससे सब लोग उसे देख सकें. (१४)
EN English Translation
That visible circle rises near space. The moving and green horse holds the circle so that everyone can see it. (14)
शी॒र्ष्णःशी॑र्ष्णो॒ जग॑तस्त॒स्थुष॒स्पतिं॑ स॒मया॒ विश्व॒मा रजः॑ । स॒प्त स्वसा॑रः सुवि॒ताय॒ सूर्यं॒ वह॑न्ति ह॒रितो॒ रथे॑ ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सात गतिशील अश्व मस्तक के भी मस्तक अर्थात् सर्वोच्च स्थावर एवं जंगम के स्वामी एवं रथ में सवार सूर्य को विश्व के कल्याण के लिए संसार के समीप लाते हैं. (१५)
EN English Translation
The seven moving horses also bring the head of the head, i.e., the lord of the supreme standing and movable, and the sun in the chariot closer to the world for the welfare of the world. (15)
तच्चक्षु॑र्दे॒वहि॑तं शु॒क्रमु॒च्चर॑त् । पश्ये॑म श॒रदः॑ श॒तं जीवे॑म श॒रदः॑ श॒तम् ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
चक्षु के समान सबके प्रकाशक, देव हितकारक एवं उज्ज्वल सूर्य निकल रहे हैं. हम सौ वर्ष देखें और जीवित रहें. (१६)
EN English Translation
Like the eye, everyone's publisher, god-benefactor and bright sun is coming out. Let's see a hundred years and live. (16)
काव्ये॑भिरदा॒भ्या या॑तं वरुण द्यु॒मत् । मि॒त्रश्च॒ सोम॑पीतये ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अपराजेय एवं तेजस्वी मित्र तथा वरुण! तुम हमारे स्तोत्र सुनकर सोम पीने के लिए आओ. (१७)
EN English Translation
O unbeatable and brilliant friend and Varun! You come to drink mon listening to our hymns. (17)
दि॒वो धाम॑भिर्वरुण मि॒त्रश्चा या॑तम॒द्रुहा॑ । पिब॑तं॒ सोम॑मातु॒जी ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे द्रोहरहित मित्र व वरुण! तुम स्वर्ग से आओ और शत्रुओं की हिंसा करते हुए सोमपान करो. (१८)
EN English Translation
O friend and Varun! You come from heaven and do sompan while committing violence against your enemies. (18)
आ या॑तं मित्रावरुणा जुषा॒णावाहु॑तिं नरा । पा॒तं सोम॑मृतावृधा ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यज्ञनेता मित्र व वरुण! तुम सोमरूपी आहुति को स्वीकार करते हुए आओ एवं यज्ञ की वृद्धि करते हुए सोमपान करो. (१९)
EN English Translation
O yagya neta friend and Varuna! You come accepting the Somarupi Ahuti and do the Sompan while increasing the yajna. (19)
