उद्घेद॒भि श्रु॒ताम॑घं वृष॒भं नर्या॑पसम् । अस्ता॑रमेषि सूर्य ॥ (१)

हे शोभन वीर्य वाले इंद्र! तुम प्रसिद्ध धन वाले, अभिलाषापूरक, मानवहितैषी एवं दाता यजमान के चारों ओर जाते हो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra with shobhan semen! You go around the famous rich, pro-people, pro-people, human-friendly and donor host. (1)
नव॒ यो न॑व॒तिं पुरो॑ बि॒भेद॑ बा॒ह्वो॑जसा । अहिं॑ च वृत्र॒हाव॑धीत् ॥ (२)

वृत्रहंता इंद्र ने भुजाओं की शक्ति से निन्यानवे शन्रुपुरियों को तोड़ा एवं मेघ का हनन किया. (२)
EN English Translation
Vrithrahanta Indra broke the ninety-nine Shannupuris with the power of the arms and violated the cloud. (2)
स न॒ इन्द्रः॑ शि॒वः सखाश्वा॑व॒द्गोम॒द्यव॑मत् । उ॒रुधा॑रेव दोहते ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वे कल्याणकारी एवं सखा इंद्र बड़ी धाराओं से दूध देने वाली गायों के समान हमारे लिए घोड़ों, गायों एवं जौ से युक्त धन दें. (३)
EN English Translation
They will give us money with horses, cows and barley, like the welfare and the sakha indra cows that give milk from large streams. (3)
यद॒द्य कच्च॑ वृत्रहन्नु॒दगा॑ अ॒भि सू॑र्य । सर्वं॒ तदि॑न्द्र ते॒ वशे॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वृत्रहंता एवं सूर्यरूपी इंद्र! इस समय विश्व में जो भी पदार्थ हैं, तुम उनके सामने उदित हुए हो एवं सारा विश्व तुम्हारे वश में है. (४)
EN English Translation
O Vrithrahanta and Indra in the form of sun! Whatever substances are in the world at this time, you have risen before them and the whole world is under your control. (4)
यद्वा॑ प्रवृद्ध सत्पते॒ न म॑रा॒ इति॒ मन्य॑से । उ॒तो तत्स॒त्यमित्तव॑ ॥ (५)

हे वृद्धिप्राप्त एवं सज्जनपालक इंद्र! तुम अपने को जो मरणरहित मानते हो, वह सत्य है. (५)
EN English Translation
O the rising and the gentleman Indra! What you consider yourself to be without death is the truth. (5)
ये सोमा॑सः परा॒वति॒ ये अ॑र्वा॒वति॑ सुन्वि॒रे । सर्वा॒ँस्ताँ इ॑न्द्र गच्छसि ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! समीपवर्ती अथवा दूरवर्ती स्थानों में जो सोमरस निचोड़ा जाता है, तुम उस सबके सामने जाते हो. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You go in front of all the somras that are squeezed in nearby or distant places. (6)
तमिन्द्रं॑ वाजयामसि म॒हे वृ॒त्राय॒ हन्त॑वे । स वृषा॑ वृष॒भो भु॑वत् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम महान् वृत्र राक्षस को मारने के लिए उस इंद्र को बुलाते हैं. अभिलाषापूरक इंद्र हमारे लिए धन बरसावें. (७)
EN English Translation
We call that Indra to kill the great Vritra demon. May indra, the desire, shower money for us. (7)
इन्द्रः॒ स दाम॑ने कृ॒त ओजि॑ष्ठः॒ स मदे॑ हि॒तः । द्यु॒म्नी श्लो॒की स सो॒म्यः ॥ (८)

अतिशय तेजस्वी, सोमरस पीने के लिए निश्चित, यशस्वी, स्तुति योग्य एवं सोम के अधिकारी इंद्र को प्रजापति ने दान करने के लिए बनाया था. (८)
EN English Translation
Extremely stunning, certain to drink somers, successful, praiseworthy and possessive of Soma, Indra was made by Prajapati to donate. (8)
गि॒रा वज्रो॒ न सम्भृ॑तः॒ सब॑लो॒ अन॑पच्युतः । व॒व॒क्ष ऋ॒ष्वो अस्तृ॑तः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्तोताओं द्वारा स्तुतियां सुनकर वज्र के समान तीक्ष्ण बनाए गए, बलवान् अपराजित दीप्तिशाली एवं युद्ध में शत्रुओं से न दबने वाले इंद्र स्तोताओं के लिए धन आदि वहन करने की इच्छा करते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
After listening to the praises by the stotas, indra wants to bear money etc. for the stomatas who have been made sharp like a thunderbolt, strong undefeated, radiant and do not be suppressed by enemies in war. (9)
दु॒र्गे चि॑न्नः सु॒गं कृ॑धि गृणा॒न इ॑न्द्र गिर्वणः । त्वं च॑ मघव॒न्वशः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तुति करने योग्य एवं स्तोताओं द्वारा स्तुत इंद्र! तुम दुर्गम मार्गो को भी हमारे लिए सुगम बनाओ. हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! तुम हमारी कामना करो. (१०)
EN English Translation
This is praiseworthy and praised by the stoyas Indra! You make the inaccessible routes easier for us too. O Dhanaswami Indra! You wish us. (10)
यस्य॑ ते॒ नू चि॑दा॒दिशं॒ न मि॒नन्ति॑ स्व॒राज्य॑म् । न दे॒वो नाध्रि॑गु॒र्जनः॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! लोग तुम्हारे आदेश और शासन का विरोध न पहले करते थे और न अब करते हैं. देव और युद्ध में शीघ्रतापूर्वक जाने वाले वीर-दोनों ही तुम्हारा विरोध नहीं करते. (११)
EN English Translation
O Indra! People did not oppose your command and rule before, nor do they now. Both God and the heroes who go to war quickly do not oppose you. (11)
अधा॑ ते॒ अप्र॑तिष्कुतं दे॒वी शुष्मं॑ सपर्यतः । उ॒भे सु॑शिप्र॒ रोद॑सी ॥ (१२)

हे शोभन-टोप वाले इंद्र! दीप्तियुक्त द्यावा-पृथिवी तुम्हारे अबाध बल की पूजा करती हैं. (१२)

O lord-of-the-box Indra! The bright dyava-prithvivi worships your uninterrupted force. (12)
त्वमे॒तद॑धारयः कृ॒ष्णासु॒ रोहि॑णीषु च । परु॑ष्णीषु॒ रुश॒त्पयः॑ ॥ (१३)

हे इंद्र! तुम काले और लाल रंग वाली गायों में उज्ज्वल दूध धारण करते हो. (१३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You hold bright milk in black and red colored cows. (13)
वि यदहे॒रध॑ त्वि॒षो विश्वे॑ दे॒वासो॒ अक्र॑मुः । वि॒दन्मृ॒गस्य॒ ताँ अमः॑ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वृत्र असुर के तेज से डरकर सब देव भाग गए थे. वे वृत्ररूपी पशु से डर गए थे. (१४)
EN English Translation
All the gods had fled fearing the brightness of the Vrithra Asura. They were afraid of the creepy animal. (14)
आदु॑ मे निव॒रो भु॑वद्वृत्र॒हादि॑ष्ट॒ पौंस्य॑म् । अजा॑तशत्रु॒रस्तृ॑तः ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वृत्रह॑ता इंद्र ने वृत्र का निवारण किया, अपने बल का प्रयोग किया एवं वे अजातशत्रु बने. (१५)
EN English Translation
Vrithrahita Indra resisted the vrithra, used his force and became Ajatashatru. (15)
श्रु॒तं वो॑ वृत्र॒हन्त॑मं॒ प्र शर्धं॑ चर्षणी॒नाम् । आ शु॑षे॒ राध॑से म॒हे ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऋत्विजो! मैं प्रसिद्ध, सर्वाधिक शन्रुहंता एवं बली इंद्र की स्तुति तुम प्रजाओं को महान् धन दिलाने के लिए करता हूं. (१६)
EN English Translation
Hey Ritvijo! I praise the famous, most celebrated, most shanruhanta and bali indra for bringing great wealth to you people. (16)
अ॒या धि॒या च॑ गव्य॒या पुरु॑णाम॒न्पुरु॑ष्टुत । यत्सोमे॑सोम॒ आभ॑वः ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अनेक गायों वाले एवं बहुतों द्वारा स्तुत इंद्र! तुम हमारे प्रत्येक सोमरस को पीने के लिए उपस्थित हुए हो. हम गो-अभिलाषिणी बुद्धि वाले होंगे. (१७)
EN English Translation
O Indra, who has many cows and is praised by many! You have appeared to drink each of our somras. We will be of go-to-mind. (17)
बो॒धिन्म॑ना॒ इद॑स्तु नो वृत्र॒हा भूर्या॑सुतिः । शृ॒णोतु॑ श॒क्र आ॒शिष॑म् ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वृत्रहंता एवं अनेक सोमाभिषवों के लक्ष्य इंद्र हमारी अभिलाषा जानें. शक्तिशाली इंद्र हमारी स्तुति सुनें. (१८)
EN English Translation
The vrithrahanta and the targets of many somabhishvas indra know our desire. The mighty Indra listen to our praise. (18)
कया॒ त्वं न॑ ऊ॒त्याभि प्र म॑न्दसे वृषन् । कया॑ स्तो॒तृभ्य॒ आ भ॑र ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अभिलाषापूरक इंद्र! तुम किन रक्षासाधनों द्वारा हमें प्रमुदित करोगे एवं किस प्रकार स्तोताओं को धन दोगे? (१९)
EN English Translation
Oh, this desireful Indra! By what means of defense will you make us rejoice and how will you give money to the stoes? (19)
कस्य॒ वृषा॑ सु॒ते सचा॑ नि॒युत्वा॑न्वृष॒भो र॑णत् । वृ॒त्र॒हा सोम॑पीतये ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अभिलाषापूरक मरुतों के स्वामी, वर्षाकारक एवं वृत्रहंता इंद्र किस यजमान द्वारा स्तुतियों के साथ निचोड़े गए सोम को पीने के लिए रमण करते हैं. (२०)
EN English Translation
Indra, the lord of the abhilashapurak maruts, the rain-maker and the vrithrahanta Indra, performs raman to drink the som squeezed with praises by which host. (20)
अ॒भी षु ण॒स्त्वं र॒यिं म॑न्दसा॒नः स॑ह॒स्रिण॑म् । प्र॒य॒न्ता बो॑धि दा॒शुषे॑ ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम हमारे दिए हुए सोम से प्रसन्न होकर हमारे लिए हजारों धन दो एवं हव्यदाता यजमान को धन देने का विचार करो. (२१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! If you are pleased with our given mon, give us thousands of money and consider giving money to the havyadata host. (21)
पत्नी॑वन्तः सु॒ता इ॒म उ॒शन्तो॑ यन्ति वी॒तये॑ । अ॒पां जग्मि॑र्निचुम्पु॒णः ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये जलयुक्त सोम निचोड़े गए हैं. इंद्र हमें पी लें, ऐसी अभिलाषा करते हुए सोम इंद्र के पास जाते हैं. पीने पर प्रसन्नता देने वाला सोम जल में जाता है. (२२)
EN English Translation
These watery mons are squeezed. Indra goes to Indra, wishing for us to drink, so Som goes to Indra. The som that gives pleasure on drinking goes into the water. (22)
इ॒ष्टा होत्रा॑ असृक्ष॒तेन्द्रं॑ वृ॒धासो॑ अध्व॒रे । अच्छा॑वभृ॒थमोज॑सा ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारे यज्ञ में इंद्र को बढ़ाते हुए एवं यज्ञ करने वाले सात होता यज्ञ की समाप्ति पर तेजयुक्त होकर इंद्र का विसर्जन करते हैं. (२३)
EN English Translation
In our yajna, increasing Indra and performing the yajna, the seven who perform the yajna, perform the immersion of Indra by being sharp at the end of the yajna. (23)
इ॒ह त्या स॑ध॒माद्या॒ हरी॒ हिर॑ण्यकेश्या । वो॒ळ्हाम॒भि प्रयो॑ हि॒तम् ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र के साथ ही तर्पण करने योग्य एवं सुनहरे बालों वाले हरि नामक घोड़े इस यज्ञ में रखे हुए अन्न की ओर इंद्र को ले जावें. (२४)
EN English Translation
Along with Indra, the tarpanable and golden-haired horses named Hari should take Indra towards the grain kept in this yagna. (24)
तुभ्यं॒ सोमाः॑ सु॒ता इ॒मे स्ती॒र्णं ब॒र्हिर्वि॑भावसो । स्तो॒तृभ्य॒ इन्द्र॒मा व॑ह ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली धन वाले अग्नि! तुम्हारे लिए ही ये सोम निचोड़े गए हैं एवं कुश बिछाए गए हैं. हम पर कृपा के निमित्त इंद्र को सोमरस पीने के लिए बुलाओ. (२५)
EN English Translation
O agni with great wealth! It is for you that these mons have been squeezed and kush laid. Call Indra to drink somras for the sake of grace on us. (25)
आ ते॒ दक्षं॒ वि रो॑च॒ना दध॒द्रत्ना॒ वि दा॒शुषे॑ । स्तो॒तृभ्य॒ इन्द्र॑मर्चत ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र को हवि देने वाले ऋत्विजो एवं यजमानो! इंदर तुम्हारे लिए एवं स्तोताओं के लिए दीप्तिशाली बल और रत्न दें. तुम इंद्र की पूजा करो. (२६)
EN English Translation
O Ritwijo and the hosts who gave the havi to Indra! Inder give you a radiant force and gemstone for you and for the psalms. You worship Indra. (26)
आ ते॑ दधामीन्द्रि॒यमु॒क्था विश्वा॑ शतक्रतो । स्तो॒तृभ्य॑ इन्द्र मृळय ॥ (२७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शतक्रतु इंद्र! मैं तुम्हारे लिए शक्तिशाली सोम एवं सभी स्तुतियों का संपादन करता हूं. हे इंद्र! तुम हमें सुख दो. (२७)
EN English Translation
O Sahartu Indra! I edit the mighty Mon and all the praises for you. O Indra! You give us happiness. (27)
भ॒द्रम्भ॑द्रं न॒ आ भ॒रेष॒मूर्जं॑ शतक्रतो । यदि॑न्द्र मृ॒ळया॑सि नः ॥ (२८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शतक्रतु इंद्र! यदि तुम हमें सुखी करना चाहते हो तो हमें कल्याणकारी एवं सुखकारक धन दो, अन्न दो तथा बल दो. (२८)
EN English Translation
O Sahartu Indra! If you want to make us happy, give us welfare and soothing money, give us food and give us strength. (28)
स नो॒ विश्वा॒न्या भ॑र सुवि॒तानि॑ शतक्रतो । यदि॑न्द्र मृ॒ळया॑सि नः ॥ (२९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शतक्रतु इंद्र! यदि तुम हमें सुखी करना चाहते हो तो हमारे लिए सभी मंगल दो. (२९)
EN English Translation
O Sahartu Indra! If you want to make us happy, give us all the good luck. (29)
त्वामिद्वृ॑त्रहन्तम सु॒ताव॑न्तो हवामहे । यदि॑न्द्र मृ॒ळया॑सि नः ॥ (३०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे असुरहंताओं में श्रेष्ठ इंद्र! तुम हमें सुखी करना चाहते हो तो सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले हम तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. (३०)
EN English Translation
O Indra, the best of the asuras! If you want to make us happy, we call you to squeeze the somras. (30)
