य॒ज्ञाय॑ज्ञा वो अ॒ग्नये॑ गि॒रागि॑रा च॒ दक्ष॑से । प्रप्र॑ व॒यम॒मृतं॑ जा॒तवे॑दसं प्रि॒यं मि॒त्रं न शं॑सिषम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोताओ! तुम सभी यज्ञो में प्रवृद्ध अग्नि की स्तोत्रों द्वारा बार-बार प्रशंसा करो. हम मरणरहित, जातवेद व मित्र के समान प्रिय अग्नि की बार-बार प्रशंसा करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
This stotao! Praise the agni that is infested in all of you yajnas again and again with hymns. We repeatedly admire the mortal, the beloved agni like the JataVeda and the friend. (1)
ऊ॒र्जो नपा॑तं॒ स हि॒नायम॑स्म॒युर्दाशे॑म ह॒व्यदा॑तये । भुव॒द्वाजे॑ष्ववि॒ता भुव॑द्वृ॒ध उ॒त त्रा॒ता त॒नूना॑म् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम अपने ऊपर वास्तव में प्रसन्न एवं बलपुत्र अग्नि की प्रशंसा करते हैं. देवों के लिए हव्यवहन करने वाले अग्नि को हम हव्य देते हैं. अग्नि युद्ध में हमारे रक्षक, उन्नतिकारक एवं हमारे पुत्रों के त्राणकर्ता हों. (२)
EN English Translation
We are truly pleased with us and admire the strong son of agni. We give a vow to the agni that is meant for the gods. Let our protectors, progressives and troublemakers of our sons be in the agni war. (2)
वृषा॒ ह्य॑ग्ने अ॒जरो॑ म॒हान्वि॒भास्य॒र्चिषा॑ । अज॑स्रेण शो॒चिषा॒ शोशु॑चच्छुचे सुदी॒तिभिः॒ सु दी॑दिहि ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अभिलाषापूरक, जरारहित एवं महान् अग्नि! तुम दीप्ति से प्रकाशित होते हो. हे तेजस्वी एवं नित्यदीप्ति से दीप्तियुक्त अग्नि! तुम अपनी शोभन दीप्तियों द्वारा हमें प्रकाशित करो. (३)
EN English Translation
O willful, without a lot of desire and a great agni! You are illuminated by the glow. O glorious and glorious agni! You publish to us by your shobhan lamps. (3)
म॒हो दे॒वान्यज॑सि॒ यक्ष्या॑नु॒षक्तव॒ क्रत्वो॒त दं॒सना॑ । अ॒र्वाचः॑ सीं कृणुह्य॒ग्नेऽव॑से॒ रास्व॒ वाजो॒त वं॑स्व ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम महान् देवों का यज्ञ करने वाले हो, इसलिए हमारे यज्ञ में भी देवों की सतत पूजा करो तथा हमारी रक्षा के लिए देवों को हमारे सामने लाओ. तुम हमें हव्य अन्न दो एवं हमारा दिया हुआ हव्य स्वीकार करो. (४)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are the ones who perform the yajna of the great gods, so worship the gods continuously even in our yajna and bring the gods before us to protect us. You give us the good food and accept the gift given to us. (4)
यमापो॒ अद्र॑यो॒ वना॒ गर्भ॑मृ॒तस्य॒ पिप्र॑ति । सह॑सा॒ यो म॑थि॒तो जाय॑ते॒ नृभिः॑ पृथि॒व्या अधि॒ सान॑वि ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यज्ञ के गर्भ अग्नि! जल, पत्थर एवं अरणि रूप काष्ठ तुम्हें शक्तिशाली बनाते हैं. तुम मनुष्यों द्वारा बलपूर्वक मथे जाते हो एवं धरती के उच्च स्थान में प्रकट होते हो. (५)
EN English Translation
O garbha agni of yajna! Wood in the form of water, stone and agniwood make you powerful. You are forced by men and appear in the higher place of the earth. (5)
आ यः प॒प्रौ भा॒नुना॒ रोद॑सी उ॒भे धू॒मेन॑ धावते दि॒वि । ति॒रस्तमो॑ ददृश॒ ऊर्म्या॒स्वा श्या॒वास्व॑रु॒षो वृषा श्या॒वा अ॑रु॒षो वृषा॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो अग्नि अपनी दीप्ति से धरती-आकाश को पूर्ण करते हैं, धुएं के साथ आकाश में दौड़ते हैं, वे ही दीप्तिसंपन्न एवं अभिलाषापूरक अग्नि काली रातों में अंधकार मिटाते हुए देखे जाते हैं. वे ही अग्ने रात्रियों के ऊपर स्थित हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
The agnis that complete the earth and the sky with their brightness, run in the sky with smoke, are the ones who are seen to remove the darkness in the bright and desireful agni black nights. They are located above the nights. (6)
बृ॒हद्भि॑रग्ने अ॒र्चिभिः॑ शु॒क्रेण॑ देव शो॒चिषा॑ । भ॒रद्वा॑जे समिधा॒नो य॑विष्ठ्य रे॒वन्नः॑ शुक्र दीदिहि द्यु॒मत्पा॑वक दीदिहि ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अतिशय युवा एवं दीप्तियुक्त अग्नि देव! तुम भरद्वाज द्वारा प्रज्वलित होकर अपनी विशाल किरणों द्वारा हमारे लिए धन दो एवं जलो. हे शुद्ध करने वाले अग्नि! तुम जलो. (७)
EN English Translation
O god of the most young and radiant agni! You are ignited by the flood, and give us wealth and burn by your huge rays. O cleansing agni! You burn. (7)
विश्वा॑सां गृ॒हप॑तिर्वि॒शाम॑सि॒ त्वम॑ग्ने॒ मानु॑षीणाम् । श॒तं पू॒र्भिर्य॑विष्ठ पा॒ह्यंह॑सः समे॒द्धारं॑ श॒तं हिमाः॑ स्तो॒तृभ्यो॒ ये च॒ दद॑ति ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम समस्त मानव प्रजाओं के गृहपति हो. हे अतिशय युवा अग्नि! मैं तुम्हें सौ वर्ष तक प्रज्वलित रखूंगा. तुम अपने सैकड़ों रक्षा साधनों द्वारा मुझे तथा हव्य देने वाले स्तोताओं को पाप से बचाओ. (८)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are the homelord of all human beings. O very young agni! I'll keep you ignited for a hundred years. You save me and the hymns who give you the greetings from sin through your hundreds of defense tools. (8)
त्वं न॑श्चि॒त्र ऊ॒त्या वसो॒ राधां॑सि चोदय । अ॒स्य रा॒यस्त्वम॑ग्ने र॒थीर॑सि वि॒दा गा॒धं तु॒चे तु नः॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे विचित्र तथा निवासस्थान देने वाले अग्नि! तुम रक्षासाधनों के साथ धनों को हमारी ओर प्रेरित करो. तुम्हीं इस धन के नेता हो. हमारी संतान को शीघ्र ही प्रतिष्ठा दिलाओ. (९)
EN English Translation
O strange and abode-giving agni! You inspire wealth towards us with defense tools. You are the leader of this wealth. Give our children a reputation soon. (9)
पर्षि॑ तो॒कं तन॑यं प॒र्तृभि॒ष्ट्वमद॑ब्धै॒रप्र॑युत्वभिः । अग्ने॒ हेळां॑सि॒ दैव्या॑ युयोधि॒ नोऽदे॑वानि॒ ह्वरां॑सि च ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम अपने एकत्रित एवं हिंसारहित रक्षासाधनों द्वारा हमारे पुत्र-पौत्रों का पालन करो. देवों का क्रोध हमारे पास से हटाओ एवं हमारी मानवबाधा दूर करो. (१०)
EN English Translation
O agni! Follow our sons and grandsons through your collected and violence-free defense. Remove the wrath of the gods from us and remove our human obstacles. (10)
आ स॑खायः सब॒र्दुघां॑ धे॒नुम॑जध्व॒मुप॒ नव्य॑सा॒ वचः॑ । सृ॒जध्व॒मन॑पस्फुराम् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्रो! तुम नई स्तुतियां बोलते हुए दुधारू गाय के पास पहुंचो. उसके दूधपीते बछड़ों को उससे इस प्रकार अलग करो कि उसे हानि न हो. (११)
EN English Translation
Oh, my friends! You come to the milch cow while speaking new praises. Separate his milk-thirsty calves from him in such a way that he is not harmed. (11)
या शर्धा॑य॒ मारु॑ताय॒ स्वभा॑नवे॒ श्रवोऽमृ॑त्यु॒ धुक्ष॑त । या मृ॑ळी॒के म॒रुतां॑ तु॒राणां॒ या सु॒म्नैरे॑व॒याव॑री ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्रो! उस गाय के पास जाओ जो सहनशील, स्वाधीन, तेज एवं वेगशाली मरुतों को अमर बनाने के लिए दूधरूपी अन्न देती है एवं सुखकारक वर्षाजलों के साथ आती है. (१२)
EN English Translation
Oh, my friends! Go to the cow that gives milky food to immortalize the tolerant, independent, fast and fast maruts and comes with pleasing rainwaters. (12)
भ॒रद्वा॑जा॒याव॑ धुक्षत द्वि॒ता । धे॒नुं च॑ वि॒श्वदो॑हस॒मिषं॑ च वि॒श्वभो॑जसम् ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! तुम भरद्वाज के लिए दो प्रकार के सुख का प्रबंध करो. पर्याप्त दूध देने वाली गाय एवं सबके खाने योग्य अन्न दो. (१३)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! You manage two types of happiness for bhardwaj. Give the cow that gives enough milk and eatable food for everyone. (13)
तं व॒ इन्द्रं॒ न सु॒क्रतुं॒ वरु॑णमिव मा॒यिन॑म् । अ॒र्य॒मणं॒ न म॒न्द्रं सृ॒प्रभो॑जसं॒ विष्णुं॒ न स्तु॑ष आ॒दिशे॑ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! मैं धन पाने के लिए तुम्हारी स्तुति करता हूं. तुम इंद्र के समान शोभन कर्म वाले, वरुण के समान बुद्धिमान्, सूर्य के समान स्तुतिपात्र एवं विष्णु के समान धनदाता हो. (१४)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! I praise you for getting money. You are as intelligent as Indra, wise as Varuna, praiseworthy as sun and rich as Vishnu. (14)
त्वे॒षं शर्धो॒ न मारु॑तं तुवि॒ष्वण्य॑न॒र्वाणं॑ पू॒षणं॒ सं यथा॑ श॒ता । सं स॒हस्रा॒ कारि॑षच्चर्ष॒णिभ्य॒ आँ आ॒विर्गू॒ळ्हा वसू॑ करत्सु॒वेदा॑ नो॒ वसू॑ करत् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं शत्रुओं द्वारा अपराजेय एवं पोषक मरुद्बल की इसलिए स्तुति करता हूं कि वे मुझे एक साथ ही हजारों प्रकार की संपत्तियां दें. मरुद्गण छिपा हुआ धन हमारे लिए प्रकट करें एवं हमें धन का ज्ञान करावें. (१५)
EN English Translation
I praise the invincible and nourishing deserts by the enemies for giving me thousands of kinds of properties at the same time. Let the deserts reveal the hidden wealth to us and make us know the wealth. (15)
आ मा॑ पूष॒न्नुप॑ द्रव॒ शंसि॑षं॒ नु ते॑ अपिक॒र्ण आ॑घृणे । अ॒घा अ॒र्यो अरा॑तयः ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पूषा! तुम जल्दी से मेरे पास आओ. हे दीप्तिसंपन्न! मैं तुम्हारे कान के समीप स्तुति करता हूं. तुम आक्रमण करने वाले शत्रुओं को भगाओ. (१६)
EN English Translation
O God! You come to me quickly. O bright! I praise near your ear. You drive away the invading enemies. (16)
मा का॑क॒म्बीर॒मुद्वृ॑हो॒ वन॒स्पति॒मश॑स्ती॒र्वि हि नीन॑शः । मोत सूरो॒ अह॑ ए॒वा च॒न ग्री॒वा आ॒दध॑ते॒ वेः ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पूषा! तुम काकों का भरण करने वाले वृक्षों को नष्ट मत करो, अपितु मेरी निंदा करने वालों को मिटाओ. जैसे बहेलियां चिड़ियों को फंसाने के लिए जाल फैलाता है, उसी प्रकार कोई शत्रु मुझे न बांध सके. (१७)
EN English Translation
O God! Do not destroy the trees that fill the uncles, but destroy those who condemn me. Just as the bahelis spread the net to trap the birds, so so no enemy can bind me. (17)
दृते॑रिव तेऽवृ॒कम॑स्तु स॒ख्यम् । अच्छि॑द्रस्य दध॒न्वतः॒ सुपू॑र्णस्य दध॒न्वतः॑ ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पूषा! तुम्हारी मित्रता दही से भरे हुए एवं छिद्ररहित चर्मपात्र के समान बाधारहित हो. (१८)
EN English Translation
O God! May your friendship be as seamless as that of a curd-filled and porous skin pot. (18)
प॒रो हि मर्त्यै॒रसि॑ स॒मो दे॒वैरु॒त श्रि॒या । अ॒भि ख्यः॑ पूष॒न्पृत॑नासु न॒स्त्वमवा॑ नू॒नं यथा॑ पु॒रा ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पूषा! तुम धन के द्वारा मनुष्यों से ऊंचे एवं देवों के समान हो. युद्धों में हमारी ओर कृपादृष्टि रखना. प्राचीन काल के समान ही तुम इस समय हमारी रक्षा करना. (१९)
EN English Translation
O God! You are higher than men by money and like gods. To be kind to us in wars. Similar to the ancient times you do to protect us at this time. (19)
वा॒मी वा॒मस्य॑ धूतयः॒ प्रणी॑तिरस्तु सू॒नृता॑ । दे॒वस्य॑ वा मरुतो॒ मर्त्य॑स्य वेजा॒नस्य॑ प्रयज्यवः ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कंपाने वालो एवं यज्ञपात्र मरुतो! तुम्हारी जो सत्यरूपी एवं धन की प्रेरणा देने वाली वाणी यजमानों को मनचाहा धन देती है, वही वाणी हमारी मार्ग-दर्शिका बने. (२०)
EN English Translation
O the tremblers and the sacrificial marutos! Your words of truth and inspiration for money give the hosts the desired wealth, the same voice should be our guide. (20)
स॒द्यश्चि॒द्यस्य॑ चर्कृ॒तिः परि॒ द्यां दे॒वो नैति॒ सूर्यः॑ । त्वे॒षं शवो॑ दधिरे॒ नाम॑ य॒ज्ञियं॑ म॒रुतो॑ वृत्र॒हं शवो॒ ज्येष्ठं॑ वृत्र॒हं शवः॑ ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिन मरुतों के असीमित कार्य सूर्य के समान आकाश में विस्तृत हो जाते हैं, वे दीप्त, यज्ञ के योग्य एवं शत्रुनाशक बल धारण करते हैं. उनका शत्रुनाशक बल सबसे उत्तम है. (२१)
EN English Translation
The maruts whose unlimited actions extend into the sky like the sun, they possess the force of the lampth, worthy of yajna and the anti-hostile force. Their anti-hostile force is the best. (21)
स॒कृद्ध॒ द्यौर॑जायत स॒कृद्भूमि॑रजायत । पृश्न्या॑ दु॒ग्धं स॒कृत्पय॒स्तद॒न्यो नानु॑ जायते ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
एक बार स्वर्ग उत्पन्न हुआ. एक ही बार धरती बनी. मरुतों की माता पृश्नि से एक बार दूध काढ़ा गया. इसके बाद कुछ भी उत्पन्न नहीं हुआ. (२२)
EN English Translation
Once heaven arose. The earth was created only once. Milk was once brewed from the mother of the maruts. Nothing happened after that. (22)
